Nagaland News | NMDA criticizes drug smuggling by medical store owner
Nagaland News |
Nagaland Medicine Dealers Association (NMDA) has strongly expressed its anguish about the alleged drug trafficking activities of Hasanuddin, also known as Hasan Mamu, the owner of a medical establishment located at Murgi Patti. NMDA condemns these illegal actions by Hasan Uddin and is confident that the legal system will address this matter appropriately.
Nagaland Medicine Dealers Association, represented by Arijit Sharma, Joint Secretary, Media Cell, reiterated its concerns to the government about online pharmacies being the primary facilitators of drug smuggling and illegal drug transportation. He highlighted the ease with which individuals can obtain psychotropic medications through online platforms using false prescriptions.
Regarding this matter, the association reiterated its strong appeal to the state government to stop online medicine trade. The association highlighted, "It is important to note that when we sell a psychotropic or controlled substance, we are required to maintain a record of the transaction. However, online pharmacies lack this accountability throughout their supply chain , thereby contributing to the issue of drug trafficking."
Registration Update: Nagaland Medicine Dealers Association has issued a directive, urging all eligible holders of legal medicine licenses who have not yet enrolled as members of the association, to complete their registration within 15 days.
