In a heartbreaking incident in Cachar, Assam, a man and his six-month-old son lost their lives when a wall collapsed on them amid heavy rainfall. The victims, identified as Aziruddin and his infant son Asifuddin, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The tragic event occurred due to the persistent downpour, which weakened the structural integrity of the mud wall, causing it to collapse and entomb the family beneath the rubble. While Aziruddin and Asifuddin perished instantly, other family members sustained injuries but survived.
Emergency services, including the police and a rescue team, arrived promptly at the scene and retrieved the bodies, which were subsequently sent for autopsy.
