Guwahati: A joint team of Assam Rifles and Manipur Police recovered a huge cache of arms, ammunition and other material in Manipur's Churachandpur district.
Based on intelligence inputs, the joint team conducted an operation in Kholmun village of the district and recovered ten weapons including one M4 assault rifle, one 9 mm carbine, two single barrel rifles, four 9 mm pistols, two improvised mortars along with ammunition. Recovered. Several rounds of live ammunition and warlike stores.

On the other hand, during several operations conducted in border and sensitive areas of Imphal West, Imphal East, Thoubal, Kakching, Bishnupur and Churachandpur districts, security forces recovered nine weapons, two Pompeys, 10 rounds. Live ammunition, eight pieces of ammunition and three explosives were recovered from Churachandpur, Imphal East and Thoubal districts.
