Eight tribal hohos convene for a deliberative meeting behind closed doors

Eight top tribal groups of Nagaland. Angami Public Organisation, Ao Senden, Chakhesang Public Organisation, Lotha Hoho, Pochuri Hoho, Rengma Hoho, Sumi Hoho and Nagaland Zeliang People's Organization. Held a closed-door consultative meeting at the Tourist Lodge here on Friday . Discussion on formation of 'Unified Nagaland Tribal Body'.
The meeting, which lasted for about two hours, was convened by Session Chairman Razouwotuo Chatsu and Session Secretary Dr. Vihuto Asumi and its objective was to organize and unite Naga civil society organizations (CSOs) under one entity.
When asked about the outcome of the meeting, NZPO advisor GH Ramliya told Nagaland Post that the meeting was organized to organize and unite Naga CSOs under one body. He clarified that at present only the Nagas of Nagaland will be included in this.
He reiterated that the meeting was organized as a part of the initiative to create a unified Naga apex body.

In response to inquiries about the resolutions adopted at the meeting, Ramliya replied that the meeting only served as a publicity move, with no specific resolutions put forward.
The Session Chairperson confirmed the full attendance of all eight HOHO members during the meeting.
When asked about the possible involvement of the state government, he declined to provide any information at this time.
