As the demand for establishment of Frontier Nagaland Territory (FNT) intensified, the Eastern Naga Students Federation (ENSF) organized a meeting in Tuensang town on Wednesday.During the rally, effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP national president JP Nadda were set on fire in a symbolic sign of dissent against the central government's prolonged indecision in formalizing the proposal for the creation of the FNT. was given. In front of the gathered crowd, ENSF President Chingmak Chang did not hold back in criticizing the Centre's inability to fulfill its commitments regarding the establishment of the FNT. He expressed disappointment, saying, "There were many promises, yet all have proved hollow." He reminded everyone of Amit Shah's pledge that the central government would offer a comprehensive solution encompassing legislative, executive and financial autonomy within just 75 days. However, with a heavy heart he admitted that despite the passage of the initial 75-day period and almost two years now, no concrete progress has been made so far.



He announced, "In a firm expression of our deep dissent towards the Government of India, we are burning the effigies of the Prime Minister, the Union Home Minister and the President of the BJP. Sticking to his conviction, Chingmak affirmed that the residents of eastern Nagaland will remain steadfast in their protest until the central authorities uphold their commitments.



He recognized the plight of the population of Eastern Nagaland and stressed the need to endure hardships on the way to achieving his objectives. Urging understanding from the community, the ENSF President urged them to hold firm until their demands are resolved.




On Wednesday, the 'complete shutdown' continued despite additional provisions for public mobility using private vehicles. Various sectors were exempted from restrictions, including government and private educational institutions, power departments, medical emergency services, fire and emergency services, domestic water supply (PHED), banking, postal and telecommunication services, as well as business establishments including private . manufacturing enterprise.
