28 Dead in Attacks on Russian-Occupied Ukrainian Regions
Ukrainian attacks in the partially occupied Kherson and Luhansk regions left at least 28 people dead as both nations exchanged drone strikes overnight into Saturday.
In Kherson, a Ukrainian attack on Sadove killed 22 and wounded 15. Moscow-backed governor Vladimir Saldo said the town was struck first by a French-made guided bomb and then by a US-supplied HIMARS missile, targeting those aiding the injured.
In Luhansk, Russian-installed governor Leonid Pasechnik reported six dead and 60 wounded after a missile attack on the regional capital.
Drone attacks continued with Ukraine launching drones across Russian territory. Russia's Defence Ministry reported 25 drones were destroyed over various regions, including Crimea. In North Ossetia, three Ukrainian drones were downed targeting a military airfield.

Ukraine shot down nine of 13 Russian drones over the Poltava, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kharkiv regions, with damage to commercial and residential buildings reported in Dnipropetrovsk.
