Manipur: Security forces seize arms and explosives in Imphal East

In a well-coordinated operation, the Indian Army, Assam Rifles, and state forces uncovered a substantial cache of arms, ammunition, and explosives from a deserted camp used by miscreants in Bongbal Khullen, located in Imphal East district near Manipur's Kangpokpi district.
Following precise intelligence reports about the presence of weaponry in Bongbal Khullen village, the Indian Army spearheaded the joint mission.
Although the armed miscreants managed to escape, the operation successfully led to the seizure of several advanced weapons and the dismantling of a bunker utilized by the miscreants.
The recovered arsenal included an AK-56 rifle, a mortar, an improvised mortar bomb, a Pompi gun, two improvised explosive devices, five hand grenades, assorted ammunition, and various other war-like supplies.
All confiscated items have been handed over to the Manipur police for further investigation and appropriate disposal.
This successful operation highlights the relentless efforts of security forces to curb the spread of illegal arms and maintain peace in the region.
