Lok Sabha Election 2024 Results Today
The counting of votes in Kerala's Lok Sabha elections starts at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, beginning with postal ballots. EVM votes will follow at 8:30 a.m. Initial trends are expected by 9 a.m., with final results by late afternoon. Real-time results will be available on the ECI website and Voter Helpline app.
Chief Electoral Officer Sanjay Kaul confirmed preparations for an error-free process. Special arrangements are in place for postal ballots. EVM results will be verified by EC observers before finalizing, and VVPAT slips will be checked afterward.
Exit polls predict a third consecutive term for PM Narendra Modi. Opposition bloc INDIA will announce its PM candidate within 24 hours of the results.
Nagaland Counting Preparations:
Nagaland is ready to count votes for its lone Lok Sabha seat starting at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, across 17 centers. Despite zero turnout in six districts, counting centers are set up. Three candidates contested: Congress' S Supongmeren Jamir, NDPP's Chumben Murry, and Independent Hayithung Tungoe Lotha. The voter turnout was 57.72% in the first phase on April 19.
