The Angami Youth Organization (AYO) has reaffirmed the demands made in the memorandum of the Western Angami Youth Organization (WAYO) dated May 20, 2024, for a thorough investigation into the May 18 attack on Kezhalie Lawrence Miasalho and his son, Thejavizo Miasalho has sought. As a result of which Lawrence died.
In a press release, AYO President Kesosul Christopher Ltu and Press Secretary Thepfusavi Suohu urged that the perpetrators receive appropriate legal punishment. They emphasized that the community, from young to old, was deeply outraged by the actions of Neizosetuo Kire and Khriestsonyü Whuorie, who were responsible for the attack that led to Lawrence's death.
AYO expressed deep sorrow over his loss and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. They also thanked Lawrence and Wayo's family for their understanding and generosity during this difficult time in the search for justice.
AYO appreciated the efforts of WAYO in taking the matter to the Deputy Commissioner of Kohima. They expressed confidence in the investigating agencies and the judiciary to ensure justice.
